Subject: Re: PC Card Modem vs. PBook G3 Date: 6/29/98 6:30 PM Received: 6/29/98 7:50 PM From: Michael Nagata, To: mike Mike, I found the culprit... but it wasn't my modem! I have discovered that ANYTIME I have something in my RAM Disk (Apple-Memory-Control-Panel-based), and try to shutdown, the computer hangs after the warning about losing the contents of the RAM Disk. I had mistakenly associated it with Netscape/PC Card modem/ because it was always happening after logging off. But after a little experimentation, I found that even if I just copy some files into the RAM Disk, and then try to shutdown, it hangs. Has anybody else reported something like this regarding the new PowerBook G3's?
