Pros: Lowest cost adjustable G3/450 currently available to my knowledge. ZIF Switches mean no motherboard jumper changes required. Retail box model selling for less than OEM versions. Overall very postive owner feedback to date.

The ProG3 review sample contained an IBM 450Mhz rated G3 CPU (8x max ratio) with 1MB of backside cache running at 1/2 the CPU speed. Note that this upgrade is designed to run at 450MHz in Blue G3s (100MHz bus speed) and 466MHz in Beige G3s (66MHz bus speed). The ZIF ships set for a B&W G3, but the switch settings are adjustable for the 'Classic' (Beige) G3 (or AIO Mac). Since it's adjustable, many will try running higher speeds, which may or may not be reliable. Formac may not honor the warranty if overclocked. The ZIF booted fine for me at 500/250 but I did not run extended tests at that speed. You can review the Formac owner reports on the Pro G3/450 upgrade by searching for Formac brand entries in the Rate Your CPU Upgrade database (select Beige G3 or BW G3 as the Mac model depending on which Mac you own). Remember when reading overclocking reports that many may not post updated entries down the road should problems occur.
The ProG3 ZIF is listed as compatible with the following Mac models:
