" I wanted to let you know I got my 1GHz iBook G4 today. It actually shows 1.07GHz in the system profiler! Some other changes of note from the previous low-end:
Boot ROM is now 4.85f0 was 4.77
Now reads "PowerPC G4 (1.1)" instead of (3.3) in the 800Mhz model. (G4 CPU chip changed, now has onchip 512KB L2 vs 256KB)
Radeon 9200 card is ROM is now 113-125, was 113-115.

I will pass along some benchmarks when if I get a chance to run them, but I can say that it does feel faster in general tasks. More to come.
