Chris sent a note that Apple has posted Firmware 7.1 for AirPort Extreme 802.11n Base Station :

"What's New in this Version
This update includes general fixes, compatibility updates, and security improvements for the AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n.

This update requires AirPort Utility 5.1. If you have AirPort Utility 5.0 installed, you can update to AirPort Utility 5.1 by installing AirPort Base Station Update 2007-001:

For detailed information on the security content of this update, please visit this website:
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=61798"

That doc is the Apple Security updates page, which links to the actual doc with info on the security content of the 7.1 firmware update ( http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=305366) that has notes on addressing issues like allowing incoming IPv6 connections and "Filenames on a password-protected AirPort Disk may be viewable to users on the local network".
Update: I've created a separate page of Feedback/Tips on Airport Extreme 802.11n Firmware 7.1. (Includes notes/tips on the Double-NAT error, notes from a users of MiniStack (and similar) drives with builtin USB hubs (for printer sharing) and more.

Mac 802.11n page updated (more Airport Extreme N user's comments)
I've added more Apple Airport Extreme 802.11n base user's comments to the Mac 802.11n page. One owner using it with Macs and PCs (802.11g equipped) wanted it for file and printer sharing and noted using a WD Media Center 250GB drive connected to the base and another used a WD MyDisk. (He noted problems restarting his Macbook with the drive shared/mounted.) The page also includes previous notes/tests/tips on 802.11n adapters/card swaps, benchmarking AE USB drives, non-Apple N bases/routers and more.

The Rate Your CPU Upgrade database has been updated with 2 new reports today. Total to date: 10,306. Here's a summary of the latest addition (search database by upgrade brand, mac model, etc. for a complete list/comments of all user reports on matching criteria - latest reports first).

  • Apple OEM G4/533 (at 600MHz) in (Gigabit Ethernet) G4/AGP tower (rated 10)
(Module was from a Digital Audio G4/466MHz but CPU chip was 533MHz rated/marked. mods to resistors/bus multiplier done before swap)
  • Newer Tech G4 Dual 1.7GHz (7448) in (Quicksilver 733) G4/AGP tower
