TechTV's Review of the G4/867:
TechTV had a G4/867 system on their TV show and has a web site review of the G4/867. The TV show included graphs of Photoshop filter tests comparing a G4/733 vs 867 vs Pentium4 1.8GHz, but the online review doesn't have these graphs that I could find. They rated the G4/867 system 4 out of 5 stars.
Update - a reader sent word that the PShop comparison graphs are in the "Video Highlights" link to the right of the review text.

" The graphs are included in the video excerpt. Click the camera icon in the PowerMac G4 video highlight box.
    The scores:
    G4 733 MHz - 65.5 secs
(not clear if this was the summer 2001 model)
    G4 867 MHz - 56.7 secs
    P4 1.8 GHz - 74.7 secs
    James Reid"

I've not watched the video, but the TV segment showed results of several different PhotoShop filter tests.

ZDnet's Review of the G4/867:
ZDnet has posted a review of the Quicksilver G4/867. They rated it a 7.5 overall, but gave it lower scores for service and support. (The average user rating there as of today was 9.1.) I could not find any actual concrete results/comparisons of performance tests in applications, games or benchmarks in the review.

Interview with Developer of Cross-Platform UT/Rune/Deus Ex Map Editor:
" [osX], THE Mac for UT website, has landed an interview with Paul Snively that should be of great interest to anyone hoping for an Unreal Tournament, Rune or Deus Ex map or mod editor for the Mac. Paul is a lead developer for Seppuku : a suicidally ambitous attempt to create a cross platform, open source map and mod editor for all Unreal engine-based games.

For anyone who wants to make maps or mods for any current and future Unreal engine games on a Mac, Seppuku may be their best and only hope.

The development team is also looking for some programmers and other staff to join the project. For the whole scoop and contact info, the interview can be read at www.planetunreal.com/osx/.
