OS X Lion 10.7.1 Update (std Client/Server + 2011 Mini/MBAir versions):

As I'm posting this (Tuesday), Apple hasn't listed a doc with specifics on security fixes in 10.7.1 yet unless that note in some of the above pages is just boilerplate. (I don't have Lion installed on anything yet but will be getting the USB drive version soon to install on a spare drive.)
FYI: Lion 10.7.1 Update on Core2 Duo CPU Upgraded Mini and iMac: I had 2 readers that had used the tip for running Lion on Core2 Duo updated Macs say they had no problems with the 10.7.1 update. (i.e. It did not recreate the supported macs plist.) One reader was using Lion server on a C2D upgraded mini, the other reader used std Lion (Client) on a C2D upgraded iMac. (I've added their comments to the original page on Mac Mini Core2Duo CPU swaps.)

OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive at Apple Store (w/note on recovery)
As promised, the Apple store now has the OS X Lion USB Thumb Drive ($69) with estimated shipping 1-3 business days. (No Apple retail store near here to check if in stock yet.) The Lion Thumb drive page has an 'important note' regarding recovery:
"
Important Note:
When you install OS X Lion using the USB thumb drive, you will not be able to reinstall OS X Lion from Lion Recovery. You will need to use the USB thumb drive to reinstall OS X Lion."
I guess the install from their Lion Thumb drive does not create the Recovery partition on the target drive. That could be a plus for some - for instance SSD owners.
(Many that wanted a Lion Thumb drive may have already made their own from the guides on the web but I suspect the thumb drive will still sell pretty well. And earlier this month Apple posted their Lion Recovery Disk Assistant.)
