OS 9 iTunes Support file for Lite-On 48125S CDRW Drive
Tomas Boden sent a Modified LiteonCDR file he edited to add iTunes burn support for the LTR-48125S drive in OS 9.x. This file replaces the LiteonCDR file already in the System Folder/Extensions/Authoring Support folder. (Like all 'unofficial' mod. files - they are provided as-is with no warranty or guarantee.)
I've added this info/file link to the FAQ's CDROM/CDR for future reference. (There's a previous 10.2/iTunes3 plugin file for this same drive there also. )

Norton Utilities 7.03 problems w/Journaling Enabled in 10.2.2
(from a reader email - regarding the Norton Utils 7.03 update noted last night)

"I updated Norton System Works 2.0 via LiveUpdate.
Norton Diskdoctor / Speed Disk / Unerase crash after the update if you enable the apple HFS+ Journaling!
Disable it and the Norton Utilities work!
Come on Symantec put more energy in your MAC products!
With Kind Regards
Andreas Goiczyk "

Although not everyone had problems after the NU 7.03 update, I've seen two other problem reports but don't know if they had Journaling enabled. (Update - one of those two later noted he did have Journaling enabled - not sure on the other one.)

You can find full owner reports (latest shown first) by searching the database by drive/brand/interface/mac models (the latest reports are shown first in searches). For guides to installing CD/CDRW/DVD drives or Hard drives in many mac models, see the IDE Articles page. The Firewire articles page also has guides on case kits, installing drives, etc.
If you've added a IDE, SCSI, Firewire or USB hard drive, CDRW, tape drive, etc. make sure you add a report to the database. [If you post an updated entry - make sure you use the same name, etc. as you did before so I can find your past entry. Thanks.]
(Entries today will be added the following newsday. Incomplete entries are deleted. Do not post questions in the database, it's for drive reports not questions on what drive to buy - for that try searching the database for reports from owners of your mac model on the drive type/brand/interface, etc. you're interested in.)
