Blu-Ray Drives:
- SATA LG LG GGW-H20L in Mac Pro (didn't note OS - assuming 10.5.x)
(as other owners of this drive noted, some issues w/blu-ray/toast 8 current version support)
Hard Drives:
- SATA Hitachi 7K1000 1TB in Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.2)
- SATA Western Digital WD5000AAKS 500GB in iMac G5 (OS X 10.5.2)
- IDE Hitachi 60GB (7200rpm) in PowerBook G3 wallstreet2 (OS X)
(problems noted. See my original PB G3 wallstreet HD upgrade guide for notes on magnetic shield (for sleep sensor issues w/some drives in wallstreet models) and notes to not overtighten the drive mtg screws, although the other suspect with some drives is power draw)
- Firewire Lacie Big Disk Extreme 1TB used w/Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.2)
- Updated report from Feb 25th on Firewire WD MyBook Studio Edition 1TB used w/iMac intel-CPU (OS X 10.5.x) (Updated w/notes on reapplying WD's firmware updater which is a mac app.)
- USB Fantom Titanium II 1TB used w/Mac Pro (OS X 10.5.2)
You can read full reports (latest shown first) by searching the database by drive/brand/interface/mac models (the latest reports are shown first in searches). The database includes reports on Optical Drives (Blu-Ray, DVD, CD/CDR, etc.), Hard Drives, Tape drives, Removable media (ORB, ZIP, MO drives), NAS (Network Attached Storage), in all interface types (IDE, SATA, Firewire, SCSI, USB, adapters).
