Revised (v1.1) Security Update 2012-001 for Snow Leopard:
Apple posted v1.1 of Security Update 2012-001 for Snow Leopard that hopefully fixes the Rosetta problems reported with the original release on Wednesday. Same download pages (and pages still dated Feb 1st):

I've not checked Apple's forums for feedback on v1.1, but mailed a reader that had Rosetta problems with the original release to ask if v1.1 fixed that - he replied yes. (Another reader also said v1.1 fixed problems with an older (PPC code) app.)

Report that OS X 10.7.3 Combo Updater restores Supported Models Plist file
Yesterday's news had an iMac (CoreDuo model upgraded w/C2D CPU) report on the Lion 10.7.3 Update (via software update) saying it did not restore the supported models Plist file. I added that to the C2D upgrades page with my question if the Combo updater would restore the plist file (like 10.7.2 did even via SU, but not 10.7.1).
Brian K. replied to that question saying the 10.7.3 Combo updater did reinstall the supported models plist file - so Core2Duo upgraded (original CoreDuo/unsupported) mac owners should avoid the combo update. I added a note about that on the C2D upgrades page. (He was using an edited supported models plist file (vs just deleting it), that was overwritten by the Combo updater.)
