Firmware Mod for 133MHz Bus Speeds on 100MHz Bus G4/AGP Macs:
Michiro Isobe sent an update to the Sawtooth (G4/AGP) CPU module page with info on how to set 133MHz bus speeds on G4/AGP systems that originally had 100MHz bus speeds. Note that this may not be reliable in your Mac, requires PC133 RAM and that the CPU module is set for 100MHz bus speeds, so the bus/cpu ratio would have to be changed (lowered) if the system bus was running 133MHz vs the original 100Mhz bus speed.

Rumors on Future 3dfx Driver Updates:
A reader posted a note in the forums this weekend that the site had a note on possible future driver updates. I did not see any comments at their main page but did find the quote from Reid (VP of Engineering) dated 1/25/2001 in their Announcements forum that mentioned a possible beta driver update. I've written him to ask if this was PC related only. Elsewhere in their forums I found another thread with comments on warranty support and conflicting comments on drivers.

CDRW/CD/DVD/HD Compatibility Database Updates:
The Drive Compatibility searchable database had 36 new entries added (current total 2,681) including more DVD ROM, CDROM, CDRW and Hard Drives entries. Included was one entry from a Umax owner with an SCSI to IDE adapter that reported great performance with the adapter and an IBM 75GXP IDE drive. There was also a 20th Anniv. Mac owner report with details on installing a Toshiba 20GB (notebook) drive (the TAM reportedly often has problems with large drives).
Entries from after midnight are added the following day. [BTW - the drive database is not a place to post questions, it's for reports on drives you've used. For guides to drive installs, see the IDE, SCI or Firewire articles here and/or the FAQ. Thanks.]

You can find full owner reports by searching the database by drive/brand/interface/mac models (the latest reports are shown first in searches).
If you've added a IDE, SCSI, Firewire or USB hard drive, CDRW, tape drive, etc. make sure you add a report to the database.
