MacBook Pro ExpressCard reports page updated:
Updated the older page of MacBook Pro owner reports on Express34 Cards to include a recent mail from a 2010 MBP owner on eSATA expresscard problems. He didn't include details on card model/brand but from the comments I'm guessing the card does not support Port Multipliers. (Said his external eSATA case w/5 HDs didn't mount w/ExpressCard but did when connected to eSATA on his Mac Pro.)
