Apple Boot Camp 1.0.2 Beta 1 Update
Matthew sent word there's a 1.0.2 beta 1 update to Apple's BootCamp but there seems to be no info on what's changed. I don't have an Intel CPU Mac (yet) and I didn't see any change info at Apple's Bootcamp public beta download page. (I downloaded the beta and there's no change info in the readme, etc. - files are dated June 19th.)
If any reader that's using BootCamp has info on the changes (drivers, fixes or just installer related changes?) let me know and I'll add it to the previous page of Apple Boot Camp User reports and Tips. Thanks
Update - a reader replied:

" Hi Mike. FYI, the version 1.0.2 package includes a Boot Camp Assistant application that's 168 bytes larger than the old one and a driver CD disk image that's about 4.5MB larger than the previous release; everything else is the same size, despite some different mod dates.
The main (if not only) purpose of 1.0.2 would seem to be improved hardware support (although iSights, Apple Remotes, Apple USB Modems, and MacBook Pro keyboard backlights are still explicitly not supported).

More Feedback on Parallels Desktop Tweaker
" Hi Mike, I have a MacBook 2 GHz with 1 GB of RAM running 10.4.7 with APE 2.0.1. I used Parallels with 512 MB of RAM.
Before installing PD Tweaker, when clicking on the Apple Menu, the system became unresponsive and I had to wait for twenty seconds before having the menu opened. All apps were also unresponsive. After install, I can now switch between opened applications and even open the Apple Menu also quite slow. Besides Parallels opens a warning when you do that.
In all, I can now keep Parallels opened and switch to it without a problem.
    -Jean-Claude "

The June 27th news page has previous reader feedback on Parallels Desktop Tweaker. (Adding the above there also.)

Reader notes on Updated/Universal Binary HP Printer Drivers/Software
I don't use an HP printer anymore but posting as a FYI:

" I have a HP3310 all-in-one printer and HP have just released Universal binaries of all of their software for this printer; dated 06-2006, 116MB.
If you readers have other HP printers it might be worth their while to see if updated software is available for them on the HP web site. I quickly checked the 1510 and 3110 pages and they have been updated.
    All the best.
    Craig A. "

He didn't include a URL but here's the main HP drivers/software support page where you can enter a model/series number and search for updated software/drivers. (The 10.4.7 reports page had a note last week on updated drivers for some HP Printers but didn't include any real details other than to say he needed them for 10.4.7. )
