M-Audio Revolution 5.1 Mac Driver Update by end of March?

"I contacted M-Audio recently about the lack of updates on the M-Audio Revolution 5.1 driver updates for over 2 years. I got an interesting response saying I should be on the lookout for updated drivers around the end of this Month (March 2008)... I personally won't hold my breath with their current track record on the subject.

Subject: RE: Lack of Driver updates for Revolution 5.1 Mac

Hi Bryan, Thanks for reaching out and sorry about the delay. We are working on Leopard drivers for Revolution. There are still some significant issues that we struggle with, which is why you have not seen us launch beta versions like we did with the rest of our product line. I believe we are pretty close though and the target is to publish the drivers by month end.
Hope you can wait for that and sorry about the delay.

I've added this to the previous page of reader feedback on the Revolution 5.1 card. (There's also an older page here with reader reports on the Revolution 7.1 PCI Audio card.)

2007/AL iMac owner reports page updated (ATI 2600 failure)
I've added a reader's notes on an apparent ATI GPU failure to the 2007 (Alum) iMac owner reports page. This may just be a random failure but posting by request to see if any other AL iMac owners have seen this. (Knock on wood this (refurb) AL iMac (2.4GHz) so far has been trouble-free (bought in late Nov. 2007 - installed Graphics firmware update day 1). But if any other AL iMac owner has had a similar problem as James let me know the details.)

Does Time Capsule and AE Base support Jumbo Frames? (on Gigabit Enet)
A reader had asked if Time Capsule and the (Gigabit Ethernet) Airport Extreme bases supported "Jumbo Frames". I didn't see this mentioned on the AE base specs page or Time Capsule specs page (nor searching apple's kbase system) but if anyone has tested for this (with Macs/NIC that supports Jumbo frames - all devices on the Ethernet network must support JF for it to work) - let me know. Thanks.
Reply from a reader:

" Reports around the various forums are mixed, but this AE base take-apart article seems to be the most definitive on the matter.
According to the specs for the Broadcom chipset used in the Gigabit AE (can't say that it is the same as the TC but likely?) the AE does support Jumbo Frames up to 9728...

Pioneer DVR-K06 Drive Reliability reports updated
I've updated the previous page on Feedback on Pioneer DVR-K06 Drive Reliability with a 24" inch iMac owner's notes on his drive failure/examination of the drive spindle. (The most common failure of K06s (based on reports here) are CD Laser related - i.e. may be ok with DVD but not CD/CDR.)
