Apple TV 2.0.1 Update
There's a 2.0.1 update to Apple TV available - downloading it now on my Apple TV. Hopefully it fixes the problem I've seen with v2.0 regarding repeatedly resyncing unchanged content (that was just browsed on the Apple TV) since installing v2.0. Other v2.0 complaints have been slow browsing/previews of movies (for some at times almost as if the Apple TV cursor is frozen/won't advance to the next movie/show until the preview image is generated). For anyone that updates to v2.0.1, let me know of any pros or cons you see.
(Just a very quick/simple first impression as I'm headed out the door - after applying 2.0.1 I did a quick scroll through my movies list and it seems like it's smoother/faster now and I played a few seconds of one of my home movies and it didn't recopy that file on the next run of iTunes. I've not added any new content yet and will play with it more later tonight or tomorrow. I was on the verge of reverting back to v1.x due to the repeated recopying of unchanged content under v2.0 so I didn't hesitate to update to v2.0.1. Hopefully those issues are fixed now.)

Another report of PCIe SATA card problems after 2008 Mac Pro Firmware Update
Yesterday a 2008 Mac Pro owner mentioned his PCIe eSATA card wasn't working/recognized after applying the EFI Firmware Update 1.3. Another report of the same problem, with a note that moving the card to another slot helped:

"Mike, After updating the Mac Pro 2008 with the EFI Firmware 1.3 my SiI-3132 based PCIe card stopped being recognized in slot 2 by system profiler. Restarting and reinstalling drivers did not help. Moving the card to slot 4 allowed the card to work again. I am not sure how many users will be impacted by this issue but it appears that the EFI 1.3 update may cause some SATA host adapters to no longer work in slot 2.

If the user is not having sleep problems with the Mac Pro, I do not believe I would recommend this update. Apple Mac Pro firmware updates are causing additional unadvertised issues between the video card firmware update and EFI this week. Apple replaced my 2600XT based on firmware update issues (they also did for some other readers noted on the earlier page of Feedback on Mac ATI 2600XT Firmware Update-Mike), now we have to figure out how EFI has been modified :-)
Regards, Michael"

I wrote the other reader that had this problem with a note about the above tip.
(Added the above to the feedback page and have others that will be added on Monday AM, including some saying startup seems slower after the update.)

Feedback on 2008 Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.3
I've posted a page of initial Feedback on 2008 Mac Pro EFI Firmware Update 1.3 released last night. Early replies from several readers said this fixed their reboot on wake from sleep - but one reader later wrote he saw that problem again, and one said it didn't fix his restart on wake problem. (Updated to include a report of a PCIe eSATA card/drive problem (card not recognized/drive not mounting) after the update and a reminder to not use RAID boot volumes to install firmware updates.
If this update helps (or not) with any issues you've had with your 2008 Mac Pro, let me know the details.

(The other news/articles listing also updated again.)
