Someone commented on "Content Encoding Error" (incompatible compression) in Firefox (but not Safari). Not seen this myself (ever) but try clearing FF cache, and if that does not help, disable any addons/plugins in Firefox. (Recall an old post about this problem with an 'accelerator' plugin. No FF version given but perhaps a compat. issue after a FF update?)
