Photos of Dual G4/800 System w/ZIP Drive compared to Dual G4/500:
There have been lots of us curious about the bezel of the ZIP drive in the Quicksilver G4s. Jarod Wilson sent photos of his Dual G4/800 with ZIP drive to add to his detailed listing of comments/comparisons on the system vs. his previous Dual G4/500. The photos are of the ZIP bezel, front/rear case views, and DP800 vs DP500 motherboards.

(Updated) iTunes Support Files for IDE Lite-On 16/10/40 CDRWs:
[For those that may have missed last night's update]
Update: Jarod's original mod file posted yesterday will only work with Lite-On 16101B models. Later 16/10/40 Lite-On Drives are often 16102B models. Another reader sent a modified support file for the 16102B model - click here to download it. (Thanks to Jose Gonzalez for the 102B mod file.) If in doubt, use Apple System Profiler or Toast to check the model number. (It's on the drive label but that's not visible once installed in the Mac or in a Firewire case.)
Jarod later sent a revised mod file that should support both the 16101B and 16102B models in OS 9, but the included OS X file only supports the 16101B.
Jarod's modified Liteon 16/10/40 IDE CDRW 16101B iTunes/Discburner support files (and the later download above) include OS X support file mods for the 16101B drive only. See the download's text clipping readme file for more info.

(As with all these modified support files, they are provided as a service to others, but as-is with no warranties or guarantee. However just because the support files are edited to list the drive's model number, that does not mean that iTunes/Discburner will fully support the drive. It may or may not be reliable or fully support all features of the drive. For the Lite-On drives, it seems to work well based on reports so far.)
