This page shows the results when running 3D-FX Tweaker . I have performed several tests to show the benefit of running the Voodoo1 card at 60 Mhz as well as changing the monitor refresh rate. On the PPC 604e, 3DFX tweaker benefits are globally much less impressive that it was with Quake. This is because the 604e CPU is working near its limit and can not feed the voodoo 1 card efficiently at higher speed. -Frank Updates: 9/14/98: Updated the Tweaker Graph, added Quake Tweaker Results graph and Monitor Refresh Rate effects graph.

Comparisons at various speed rates As oppose to Quake , Unreal is really pushing the CPU to its limit. This translates in little benefit when running 3DFX tweaker. Monitor refresh rate effect Changing the monitor refresh rate has no effect at all on the system tested. Quake comparison Note the significant improvement provided by running the Voodoo 1 at higher speed with Quake.
