Starting in October 98, I'll be rating products with a 1-5 'Hot Mac' icons in their overall summary score.
Defects or problems seen during testing make it unsuitable for general recommendation.
Needs work. May have serious compatibility problems or limited functionality.
Average. No serious problems or flaws, but there are better offerings available.
Recommended. Has features or performance above most other similar products. This is a product I'd personally buy and use.
