How Disk Cache Size Affects Performance

Reader John Protopapas sent in the results of his study on disk cache size vs performance that graphically illustrates the relationship of size to Macbench disk mix test scores. Thanks to John for the sending the following info in for publishing.

(As you can see in the Graph, the faster Seagate drive shows more benefit.)

NOTES: I HAD TO USE [Powerlogix] CACHE CONTROL VERS 1.1.7 - THE LATEST ISSUE 1.2.1 GAVE ME PROBLEMS DURING THE BOOT PROCESS AT TIMES.
