Appears another Update Pulled: OS X 10.8.2 Build for Late-2012 Macs
(Update: On Nov. 29th, Apple restored this update again. Same URL/page Date, etc as the original Oct. 24th release. See Nov. 29th news for details)

Noticed another recent update D/L page has been pulled - the specific OS X 10.8.2 Update build for 13" Retina Macbook Pro/Late 2012 Mac Mini and iMacs released on Oct. 24th is now 404'ing. Maybe as part of investigations into problems some users reported. I'd applied it on a late 2012 mac mini and not seen any problems yet (including no HDMI issues knock on wood, unlike many 2012 mini owners) although it was not a primary use machine. (I thought I'd seen some posts on problems with the new nvidia drivers in Apple's macbook pro forum but can't find it now so maybe I was mistaken.)
I think the removal of this updater means any Late 2012 Mac (Mini or 13in Retina MacBook Pro) owners that have OS X 10.8.1 installed won't be able to update to 10.8.2 using the previous/standard OS X 10.8.2 updaters unless apple has revised them. (Late 2012 macs IIRC would not even boot from the original 10.8.2 release build on external drives, nor would the original 10.8.2 update install on them - you get a "Disk doesn't meet Requirements..." message.)
(I posted a FYI earlier (below) that apparently Apple also pulled the "Mid-2012 MacBook Air/MacBook Pro Update 2.0" that was released on Nov. 8th due to problems reported by users.)

BTW: I noticed today that Apple has pulled the Mid-2012 MacBook Air/MacBook Pro Update 2.0 (claimed improved Graphics/Reliability/USB support) that was released Nov. 8th. (Apple's forums had threads on problems from users that must have been verified/common enough to pull it.)
