macOS 11.1, and Security Updates for Catalina and Mojave

Info from the Big Sur 11.1 app store page.
" macOS Big Sur 11.1 introduces support for AirPods Max, TV app enhancements, Apple News widgets, & privacy information on the App Store. This release also includes bug fixes for your Mac.

This release also addresses the following issues:
- Bluetooth connection status was not displayed in Control Center.
- Reliability of unlocking your Mac automatically with your Apple Watch.
- Trackpad scrolling speed may be faster than expected on MacBook Pro models.
- LG UltraFine 5K Display may incorrectly display at 4K resolution on M1 Macs.
(Some (not all) M1 Mac owners with display problems said macOS 11.1 helped.)
- QuickTime Player might quit when opening a movie with a timecode track after upgrading from macOS Catalina.

T2 Chip Mac Bug with macOS 11.1:
Apple posted a support article with a tip for macOS 11.1 problems on T2 Chip Macs.

"If you can't unlock settings in System Preferences
While using macOS Big Sur 11.1, your Mac with Apple T2 Security Chip has an issue that requires resetting the SMC. System Preferences should accept your password after you reset the SMC."
FYI: Some said a SMC reset also fixed problems mounting external encrypted drives.
Also saw posts a SMC reset fixed problems with Touch ID after the macOS 11.1 update.

FYI: Some users reported Invalid Certificate problems after installing Security Update 2020-007.

Apple Pro Display XDR Firmware Update 4.2.37

Display Firmware 4.2.37
- Addresses an issue where in-field calibration settings are not applied when using Pro Display XDR Calibrator.

Requires macOS 10.15.6 or later.
